1. Acceptance of Terms
By participating in the Low Carbon Schools Project (the “Project”), you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from participating.
2. Project Overview
The Project is part of the Eco-Schools Initiative, aligned with the United Nations Greening Education Partnership. It is implemented in Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysia, with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in schools, building capacity among teachers and students, and encouraging sustainable practices.
3. Eligibility
- Open to schools, teachers, and students in participating regions.
- Participants under 18 must have consent from a parent, guardian, or school authority.
4. Responsibilities of Participants
Provide accurate information when registering for the Project.

- Follow training guidelines and use materials for educational purposes only.
- Respect intellectual property rights of project resources, modules, and guidebooks.
5. Intellectual Property
All materials provided (training modules, guidebooks, checklists) remain the property of the Project organizers unless otherwise stated. They may be reproduced for educational, non-commercial use with proper attribution.
6. Code of Conduct
Participants must:
- Act respectfully towards other participants, trainers, and organizers.
- Avoid discriminatory, harmful, or unsafe behaviour.
- Follow environmental and sustainability principles promoted by the Project.
7. Data Collection & Privacy
Data will be collected in line with the Privacy Policy below. By participating, you consent to the collection and use of your information for project administration, reporting, and improvement.
8. Liability Disclaimer
The organizers will not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or losses arising from participation in the Project, except where required by law.
9. Modifications
The organizers reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via official channels.
