Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI)
The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies.
Since its establishment as an international organization at the RIO+20 Conference in 2012, GGGI’s membership has grown from 18 founding signatories to 50 Members and 29 Partner States at the end of 2024. GGGI draws upon the lessons learnt from this cross-regional pool of green growth experiences to pursue the transformative green growth agenda alongside its Members and Partners.
With a vision of a low-carbon, resilient world of strong, inclusive and sustainable growth, the GGGI adopts five core values – Integrity, Transformational, Inclusive, Boldness, and Excellence – as the guiding framework for its work. GGGI supports member and partner governments as an independent, trusted advisor and strategic development partner, providing policy advice and technical support in the development of green growth plans, policies and regulations, mobilization of green investments, implementation of green growth projects, and development of sub-national, national, regional capacities and knowledge.
